Thomas has spent a lifetime involved in sports, entertainment, and business matters. He currently is Founder, President & CEO of BSIX CORP and was a majority owner of Velocity Sports & Entertainment Development Group and owns Odyssey Sports & Wellness "Brand". He is an adjunct member of the prestigious Round Table Group based in Washington DC as an expert in his field. Thomas served as coach on the floor at the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games, World Championships, Paris, 1992 and coached several athletes to the National Team. His first student, Mike Inglis achieved a ranking of 5th in the World in Men's Gymnastics at the Indianapolis World Gymnastics Championships in 1991. Mike was one of only two North American male gymnasts to make event finals; the other was American, Scott Keswick.

Thomas created the concept of after sport experience through his company ACROSTAR PRODUCTIONS INC. After sport experience enables athletes to continually leverage the skills they worked a lifetime to achieve. His company has produced and managed shows in the United States, England, Australia, and Canada. Thomas began the Sports Village Concept now called the ODYSSEY "Brand" and many other creative endeavors after leaving The University of Toronto where he served as Varsity Coach for Men's Gymnastics.  He founded Toronto Gymnastics International Inc. and GymQuest Organization of Toronto that provided gymnastics training to thousands of children over the years.

Thomas was voted Coach of the Year in 1987, by the Canadian Inter University Athletic Union (CIAU) and has won numerous National Achievement Awards. The Sports Village Project ODYSSEY is a crystal clear vision of how sport should be intertwined with a way of life and social interaction. The concept is a game changer and is currently being considered by Universities, Municipalities, private land owners and developers throughout USA, Canada and beyond.

Thomas is passionate about sport, and served as Executive Producer for The Extreme World Cup, part of the Cafe' de Colombia World Cup of Water Skiing, televised in both Canada and USA. He created, produced and managed live entertainment show product (Sport based stunt shows) for LEGOLAND Windsor (England), Australia's Wonderland (Australia), LEGOLAND California (USA), Canada's Wonderland (Canada), Hanna Barbera Land (Texas, USA) and numerous smaller amusement parks like Miami SeaQuarium (USA), The Canadian National Exhibition (Canada), and Thorpe Park (England). Many still showcase his creations.

Thomas served as consultant for the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines on their "Project Genesis" now called Oasis of the Sea, the world's largest cruise ship setting sail in December of 2009. Thomas served as a creative and technical resource in planning the entertainment component for the major attraction on Oasis of the Sea and the "AQUA THEATER". The attraction is a "World First", and became the mainstay of entertainment aboard this class of ship.

Thomas attended Northern Michigan University (NMU) in Marquette on a full athletic scholarship, the University of Windsor, and York University where he and his gymnastics team won many National Titles. Thomas was Varsity Coach at University of Toronto in the mid to late 80's when there were more sports offered in the University system in Canada compared to more recent times.

Thomas created, produced, directed and managed the"Pirates Unleashed" live action show for Sea World of Australia through his family holding company BSIX CORP and BSIX PRODUCTIONS INC. Having dedicated a lifetime to research, analysis, planning, execution and monetizing the ODYSSEY California project, Thomas and his well experienced advisory board stand ready for the launch of ODYSSEY SPORTS & WELLNESS CENTERS roll out across USA and Canada.

Mike Inglis (CAN) was the Canadian gymnast, who reached a Vault Final at a World Championships. Watch him perform two beautiful Vaults - finishing with a one arm 1 & 1/2 twists, with two rotations, the original vault. Trained by Mr. Bertrand, they worked for 9 years, 3 hours per day, 6 days per week together to achieve this great accomplishment.

In 1988 Mike was ready to show the World his abilities. During the 1988 Olympic Games Trials and National Championship Mike landed hard performing a double layout off High Bar which severely injured his knee and required reconstruction surgery. At the time Mike was certain to be on the Olympic Team in Seoul South Korea. After many months of recovery he slowly went back in the gym and made great progress working at his comeback.

Determined to achieve his goal, both Mike and Mr. Bertrand plotted a course and plan for return to the sport he loved. Mike quickly returned to his form of 1988 and made the World Championship Team for Canada held at Indianapolis Indiana, where he was the only Canadian male gymnast to make finals. In 1992 Coach Bertrand and his student represented Canada at the World Championships in France, followed by a last minute inclusion at the 1992 Olympic Games – Barcelona, Spain.

Currently the two are joining forces once again to develop an ODYSSEY Center in London, Ontario.
